Idea: How Can I fix Norton Antivirus Error 8504 and 104?

You can get Norton Antivirus Error 8504 and 104 when more than one antivirus program is already installed on your PC. There is an incomplete download, and then after installing Norton, the virus can damage/corrupt Norton 360 antivirus or Windows file software. To get rid of the issue, you must run the Norton antivirus and update the graphics and other system drivers.

STEP 1: RESTART THE COMPUTER

  • Exit all programs.
  • Restart the computer.

If the problem persists, go to Step 2.

STEP 2: UNINSTALL ANY NON-NORTON SECURITY PRODUCT You can also read the program documentation or contact the program manufacturer for instructions to remove a non-Norton security product from your computer.

  • Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type in the following text, and then press Enter: appwiz.cpl
  • In the list of currently installed programs, select the non-Norton security product, and then click Uninstall or Remove.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • When the uninstall completes, restart the computer.
