I have zero experience buying jewelry and dropped in today looking for earrings. Not many things were on sale (which seems promising), and the earrings looked great.

Retail was around $2400 discounted to $1600 after tax. Is it possible these still aren’t a decent value or does that much of a ‘clearance discount’ typically mean I’m not getting ripped off too heavily?

Any input or advice is appreciated, thanks.

I'm also not very good with jewelry. But I'm lucky that I can find good online stores that sell great jewelry like these gold diamond hoop earrings. I don't understand anything about how to determine the quality of gold and diamond, but I have complete confidence in this store, so I don't worry about quality.
