International Peace Day Status: हर वर्ष अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शांति दिवस 21 सितंबर को मनाया जाता है । अंतरराष्ट्रीय शांति दिवस (International Day of peace ) का आयोजन 1982 से लेकर 2001 तक सितंबर महीने के तीसरे मंगलवार को मनाया जाता था ।
लेकिन 2002 से यह अंतरराष्ट्रीय शांति का दिन 21 सितंबर निर्धारित कर दिया गया ।
विश्व शांति दिवस का उद्देश्यदुनिया भर में फैली घृणा, हिंसा, ईष्या, आंतकवाद आदि महामारी के कारण उत्पन्न अशांति को दूर कर शांति के लिए प्रयास करना ।
