Given the noted lack of funds for maintaining existing roads and bridges I would like to ask the Council to re-evaluate plans for new roads and bridges (e.g. Charcot Overpass) - which would most likely further increase ongoing maintenance needs - till the existing backlog has been addressed sufficiently. In areas where a need for new infrastructure exists the City should work with sister agencies (e.g. VTA, Caltrans, County) to identify projects that will address those needs most effectively.
