Public lands should not be sold for private profit. The land is in the community trust and should be used in the interests of ALL peoples, not only the wealthiest amongst us.
If public land is sold, a percentage of profits should be mandated back to public interest. This should be in effect as long as the land is used for private interests. That will not undo damage to marginalised communities, but it could be a form of accountability.
