Purpose: To provide City Council with information on residential displacement, current City work on residential and small business displacement, and tools other cities use. Provide a venue for City Council to hear perspectives, ask questions, and provide feedback. Outcome: That the City Council receives information they can use when considering the future adoption of residential anti-displacement strategies. Staff plans to bring forward recommendations in winter, 2019. City Council will also receive information on San José's current pilot work addressing small business displacement.
