I am a landlord whose tenant has lost her clients in a preschool she operates at my home. The parents are forced to stay at home and now watch the children .as a result My tenant has lost her Income to pay rent. I don’t want to evict her but I am a retired senior and rely on the rental income. Funding for my lost rent where she cannot pay due to the shelter at home mandate Would keep me from having to evict her until She’s back on her feet and her clients no longer must stay at home. Pls help

Please NO moratorium on evictions! What about landlords who have ALREADY given a Notice to Vacate but now their tenant cites covid-related hardship and won’t leave? The landlord has no recourse: has to just carry them rent free for months? What about the landlord’s mortgage? What about landlords already trying to SELL their properties and need to remove tenants so they can find a buyer? This ordinance does NOT take any of this into account. PLEASE vote NO until you can think all of this through!
