SJPD is known for using excessive force, whether it be on citizens or peaceful protestors. There needs to be change and adding more money to SJPD isn't it. We need community outreach programs, mental health programs, housing programs, and other programs that will help with the "crime", which are all non-violent, decrease. We do not need any more police, we as a matter of fact don't need them. They should not be going to PEACEFUL protests with riot tears terrorizing young people, shame on you SAM
