There is an urgency coming from the City Council to change the powers of the Mayor’s office, happening without community involvement and it's not obvious that we have a problem to solve. If the Council sees a need for change that’s in the best interest of the citizens of San Jose, then please start with community engagement.

There are too many examples in the news today about Mayor’s ineptitude resulting in violence and destruction. We don't have that problem today so let's not open the door.
