The current policy by the City of suspending abatements of homeless encampments during COVID-19 is allowing the Homeless to dump garbage without consequence. Those to try to clean it up must be disheartened. The trails and creeks are becoming unsanitary and polluted. The City looks more like a landfill every day. There has to be some policy introduced to deter the Homeless from willfully leaving garbage anywhere they like.

We are not alone is this struggle to find adequate housing for our unhoused. Recently, Sacramento implemented an ordinance which prevents camping within 50' of the levees & Stockton has also worked to prevent camps along their streams.
