I'm commenting to protest the proposed rate increases SJW has set forth under application A.21-01-003. By 2022 they have proposed a 39% rate increase. Is it not enough that we have to pay the highest taxes in the country by living in CA, but now have the water rates increase by nearly 50% ?. This is unacceptable for most residents. We cannot afford it. Please do everything to prevent this from going into effect. Thank you.

I'm writing to protest the proposed rate increases SJW has set forth under application A.21-01-003. Specifically, by 2022 they have proposed a 39% rate increase. How can they do this to consumers, especially given the economic downturn due to the pandemic? It is downright criminal. It's not enough that we have to pay the highest taxes in the country by living in CA, but now to have the water rates increase by nearly 50% is ridiculous. This needs to stop. We cannot afford it.

Please help us. SJW rates & stock has skyrocketed since 2005, more than most Silicon Valley growth stocks. We received notification of another rate increase plus a SEC filing of 6% dividend raise affecting a huge number of San Jose residents monthly household budget. We have peacefully protested, signed petitions, formed WRATES grassroots org, charted our water bills, written letters to SJW & CPUC against the recent Connecticut Water merger, participated in CPUC hearings against overcharging.
