I oppose the rate increase that San Jose Water is applying for. Their service charge already varies greatly and is not standardized. Some bills I’ve had rose upwards of 400 while this recent bill is 160. My family and I don’t even own a pool. It’s ridiculous how theres a lack of transparency. I wish there was an option to go with Great Oaks water as our water utilities provider instead of dealing with SJ waters monopoly of San Jose residents. Please do not approve their rate increase application
Measure E San Jose City Transfer Tax measure should be repealed. It's basically a Grampa Scam which benefits the City of San Jose's General Fund. It reduces hard earned retirement funds for people over 55 years old when they sell their home. Tax funds for subsidized housing, should come SCC 2016 Measure A - Affordable Housing Bond which we pay for in taxes already. Measure E is double taxation for subsidized affordable housing in our city and county and penalizes older residents unfairly.
