A great city does not exist without a VIBRANT ARTS COMMUNITY and the Arts cannot be vigorously creating and sharing with the community if it is not believed by our city leaders to be of Vital Importance for the holistic welling being of our citizenry. Though much more needs to be done on a long term basis, I do support the Mayor's June Budget Message, section G. Cultural Vitality which helps this present situation.

I am writing in support of the proposed budget adjustments as described in the Mayor's June Budget Message, section G. Cultural Vitality. The arts are an important part of our economic and civic recovery process. Mayor Liccaordo's proposed budget adjustments help address the shortfall. As someone who has worked in the arts their whole career, and in San Jose for the past 11 years, and has seen the positive impact it can have, I wholeheartedly stand in support.

I am writing in support of the proposed budget adjustments as described in the Mayor's June Budget Message, section G. Cultural Vitality. The arts are an important part of our economic and civic recovery process. The decimation of TOT funds to support San Jose's arts partners demands of the City Council to creatively address the shortfall. Mayor Liccaordo's proposed budget adjustments help towards this end.

    Honorable Mayor and City Council,
I am writing in support of the proposed budget adjustments as described in section G. Cultural Vitality. Cultural programming broadly distributed throughout the entire City should be an important part of our economic and civic recovery process. The decimation of TOT funds to support San Jose's arts partners demands of City government to creatively address the shortfall without delay. These proposed budget adjustments help move us towards that end. Thank you.

I support Mayor Liccardo’s direction to include and further support the Arts Community within and through the City of San Jose budget. Thank you for this specific and strategic inclusion. As a long standing, since 1964, arts organization in San Jose we applaud this action.
    Thank you,

I vehemently support changes that provide resources to supplement the drastically reduced TOT funds available for grants to arts organizations in San Jose, and the prioritization of future potential arts funding later in the fiscal year when additional funding from the American Rescue Fund becomes available. The arts are vital to building empathetic communities, maintaining rich cultural legacies, and driving economic growth.

I am writing in support of the proposed budget adjustments as described in the Mayor's June Budget Message, section G. Cultural Vitality. The arts are an important part of San Jose's economic and civic recovery. Although I live in Santa Cruz, I work, shop, dine and attend museums and cultural events in San Jose and know the importance of the arts to economic recovery.

I fully support the proposed budget adjustments in the Mayor's June Budget Message, section G. Cultural Vitality. The arts are vital to San José's economic and civic recovery and make our City a place where people want to live, work, learn, and thrive. The City Council must address the shortfall of TOT funds to restore the City's critical funding for San Jose's arts partners--the Council cannot leave these organizations hanging and still envision a prosperous future for our City.
