I was told by San Jose's Business Tax department that it takes 6 to 8 weeks to consider a business tax exemption. In my case, it is a renewal, and I cannot fathom any set of circumstances that require more than one week to approve anyone's application/renewal. Would you assign an independent auditor to review the caseload of the department and proper allocation of existing resources?
