To help air quality, the city needs to accelerate construction of cycling infrastructure. Bike lanes on major roads need to be protected as soon as possible, not only to help with the disastrous traffic that is returning as people go back to the office, but to lessen the damage to our roads, lower injuries and fatalities, and most importantly to do our part to mitigate climate change. The biking infrastructure in most of the city is shameful. Bike lanes on major roads need to be protected ASAP.
