I also oppose to Noble site being selected as housing for homeless. Noble Ave is by far too close to Noble Elementary School. The site will not benefit our kids, resident nor the people who will use the site as well since its proximity to transportation is too far away. We as an adult, should consider more carefully and deeply what is happening around us before making decision that will effect safety of our children. Please Please do make the "RIGHT" decision

I oppose this site. It is way too close to schools and library that are children use. Have heard nothing until my neighbor contacted me. Thought we voted this down last time it was brought up

For the homeless site on Noble avenue, 1. Does the city have any report showing the impact of the homeless site across the street to Noble Elementary School? 2. Does the city have any record showing how the city communicate with the community? 3. The memorandum on 7/28/2017, subject : New Site Selection Criteria for Bridge Housing Communities, is still valid? If yes, the memorandum shows the Noble site is not qualified. Why now the council vote agree this time?

Ii is alarming this agenda item which received a large community outcry previously was again NOT brought to the attention of Noble residents prior to the 6/21/22 City Council mtg. I am NOT in favor of using the Penitencia Creek Parkway (https://parks.sccgov.org/sites/g/files/exjcpb961/files/PenitenciaGuideMap.pdf) to erect a 100 bed fenced facility across from Noble Elementary and Noble Library-neighborhood playground/park-Toyon Elementary-Piedmont Middle-Alum Rock Park-Penitencia Creek Park.

I am a resident of the Noble Ave has has received 0 communication until got notified by a neighbor. 5y ago exactly the same thing happened: 3800+ neighbors voted against https://chng.it/DmVFmL94BN. Thus this time the city tried to avoid any community outreach, so that local residents don't have a chance to veto the obviously awful idea to place a homeless site 50y away from an elementary school and 100y away from a library and playground. Such a sneaky manner failed the trust of the people.

Why do we approve the plan in a such secret manner? The idea of putting homeless tiny home so close to a elementary school, a library, and a park, is insane. Considering the drug abuse and metal issue accompanied with the homeless, building those tiny homes imposes great risk to the people living in the Noble neighborhood, especially to the kids in Noble elementary school. Remember we just had a tragedy happened in Robb elementary in Texas. The plan will make safety of the those kids even worse.

Sorry not near our schools and libraries. There's plenty of city space near the hills or other commercial areas in SJ.

Tiny Home site selected at Noble Elementary school is the worst choice compared to other candidates. It's far from public transit and grocery and too close to communities. There are an elementary school, a public library, a middle school just around that site. Trails that go through the site and will be destroyed. The Dr. Robert Gross Ponds at exactly the site are part of valley water purification system. The poor sanitation will lead to contamination problem for water resource.

I oppose to the location being chosen to build housing for the homeless. The location is across the street from Noble Elementary, Noble Park, Noble library, a block from Piedmont Middle School, .7 mile from Toyon Elementary and 1 mile from Piedmont High School. It's far away from grocery stores and limited public transportations. The City is not watching out for the welfare of our children and is enforcing dictatorship in our city. Residents are not informed before decision is made.

Why homeless population still continuously increase while US stock was in history high, US company still short of hand? Tiny house is not even a solution. Education issues, drug and Alcohol issues are root cause for homeless issue. No tiny house should be near to library and school. Not only for child’s safety, also for reduce the chance of next generation become homeless . California is dying and sooner than you can imagine.

Why pass this in a hidden manner? What were you trying to hide? 100 bed tiny homed opposite a school and public library is a sane idea? Middle school is few blocks away too? These elected officials are disconnected from reality.

Everyone who is supporting this measure should check the site and its location. It's away from public transportation, near a flood zone, no grocery shops within a mile. Do homeless people have cars?

I support the tiny homes project because unhoused individuals and families deserve a chance to find permanent homes through these transitional tiny homes. Property owners in opposition are under the impression that they have a right to the property around them. If they would like to see an empty lot remain vacant because they enjoy walking there, then they can purchase the lot for themselves. Please continue help the unhoused and get them resources. Thank you.

If tiny homes are to be built near elementary schools and libraries, can homeless families with children be strictly prioritized? Homeless children will be able to walk to school and be in a safe/healthy environment at the library where they can teach themselves to be upstanding people. No one else besides families with children should be in these tiny homes so close to any schools and libraries. A LOT of students hang around Noble library and their safety should be the #1 priority.

The motion includes building a tiny home site on Noble Ave, across the street sits an elementary school and community library. This location is miles away from highway, light rail and grocery store. It’s not safe for children, not convenient for the homeless. There is no analysis on potential environmental impact either. This is the least favorable sites of the list. Homeless is an issue we need to solve, so is the student safety. Should any tragedies happen, this city council is the criminal!

Five years ago, a proposal to build homeless shelter in Nobel neighbourhood was reject by residents. Why this idea came up once again ? Even worse, why no communication with people ?
