We support the appeal. We support the Urban Village Plan and what it outlined for the smaller, shallow parcels abutting single family residences in a two block section of Winchester Blvd. It called for an appropriate urban form that supported walking, transit use and public interaction, suggesting retail and small businesses to provide services and amenities for the community. This does not describe the Winchester Hotel Plan.

I am part of the neighborhood group that opposes the project in its current form. Every resident and homeowner that our group has spoken to, every local visitor from reporters to candidates for a public office, who's had a chance to view the lot, seem to understand exactly why we're opposing the Hotel. It's NOT because we're anti-business or anti-development. There are technical and safety issues that the City has never provided adequate responses to. I sincerely hope that sanity prevails.

Dear Mayor Liccardo and Council Members,
I am writing in support of the appeals regarding the hotel project at 1212-1224 S. Winchester Blvd.
My neighbors and I have attended meetings with the developer and the city for over 2 years. The environmental impacts of this project as well as its misalignment with the neighborhood (Winchester Urban Village plan) indicate a need for a full environmental impact report and a revisit of what serves the community and the city at this project site.
