A dedicated community leader in the Upper Penitencia Creek region for decades, John founded the Penitencia Neighborhood Association, which created a space for people to come together and better their neighborhoods for generations to come. John was married to his wife, Olivia, for 41 years and they raised three daughters together. He was also a published author and an avid Bay Area sports fan, with a particular love for the San Francisco Forty-Niners and the Golden State Warriors. John's friendship, warmth and community spirit will be deeply missed by every person who knew him.
