This meeting will be adjourned in honor and memory of Bea Robinson Mendez, a local Chicana leader, whose work has been fundamental in serving the most vulnerable in our community. Her legacy is incredible, having co-founded Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence in her garage. Her cultural understanding raised Next Door to become the second largest and first bi-lingual domestic violence shelter in the nation.
