This meeting will be adjourned in memory of Raul Lozano who passed away on February 20, 2023. Raul Lozano was the founding executive director of Teatro Vision, co-founded the Multicultural Arts Leadership Initiative, and also founded Valley Verde. He was a long-time advocate of the multicultural arts community in San José and a local pioneer in healthy, organic food access for many residents in District 3 and beyond.

1. CEREMONIAL ITEMS

1.1 Presentation of a proclamation recognizing April 11-17, 2023 as Cambodian Genocide Remembrance Week in the City of San José to remember, honor and pay tribute to the over 2 million lives lost to the Cambodian Genocide and take a positive step towards healing and celebration for the Cambodian-American community in San José. (Ortiz)

1.2 Presentation of a commendation to the Fox Tale Fermentation Project for their unique small business and community space in the City of San José. (Torres)

1.3 Presentation of a commendation to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. San José Alumni Chapter and Delta Rho Chapter at San José State University in recognition of their great work in local communities and hosting the 76th Western Province Council Regional Conference in San José. (Mayor)
