1. CEREMONIAL ITEMS

1.1 Presentation of a commendation recognizing our Disaster Service Workers for their service in providing disaster relief for our communities during the series of storms in early 2023. (Foley and Doan)

1.2 Presentation of a commendation to the San José Hit Squad, a San José-based youth football team, in recognition of its 12U and 10U victory, outstanding teamwork, and dedication at the Snoop Youth Football League National Championship in Las Vegas. (Jimenez)

1.3 Presentation of a proclamation declaring August 26, 2023 as California Farmworker Appreciation Day to highlight, remember, and appreciate the work that farmworkers contribute daily to San José. (Ortiz)
