This meeting will be adjourned in memory of Robert "Bob" Kadlec who passed away on September 30, 2023. A decorated veteran with the Air Force, Robert was involved with numerous Veterans organizations in San José over the years and played a major contribution in putting on the annual Memorial Day event and the Veterans Day Parade.

1.1 Presentation of a proclamation declaring October 2023 as National Disability Employment Awareness Month in the City of San José. (Foley & Kamei)

1.2 Presentation of a commendation congratulating San Jose's Energy Department for being awarded the 2023 Beacon Innovation and Leadership Award for the Solar Access Program, which expands access to low-income residents. (Cohen)

1.3 Presentation of a proclamation declaring October 2023 as Arts and Humanities Month in the City of San José to recognize, celebrate, and support the arts and humanities throughout our City and Nation which have a tremendous impact to the culture and education of our City. (Torres)
