San Jose is in desperate need to revamp the Animal Care Services system. We must ensure that we are a leader in providing compassionate care to the most vulnerable animals in our community. Further, we need to evaluate how we serve communities throughout San Jose that need financial assistance in caring for their pets. We need the shelter to be a leader in providing spay and neutering services in communities that are surrendering the majority of animals in the city. I STRONGLY support an audit.
