কোনো লোকই একা বেঁচে থাকতে পারে না। পিতা, মাতা, ভাই, বোন আত্মায় জন নিয়ে তার যে পরিবার, সেই পরিবার নিয়েও সে একা বাঁচতে পারে না। তাকে আরও অনেকের সাথে মিশতে হয়, লেনদেন ও মতের আদান প্রদান করতে হয়। মোটকথা, একটা সমাজের মধ্যে তাকে মিশে থাকতে হয়। পরিবার এবং সমাজের মধ্যে থেকে তার নিজের এবং সমাজের অন্যের উন্নতি, সুখ-শান্তির জন্য একজন মুসলমান আল্লাহ ও রাসূল (সা.)-এর শেখানো। নীতিমালা অনুযায়ী চলে ।
সকল মানুষ সমান।
ইসলামী সামাজিক জীবনের মূলনীতি হলো দুনিয়ার সকল মানুষ সমান এবং সবাই একই পিতা-মাতা আদম ও হাওয়া (আ.)-এর সন্তান। দুনিয়ার মানুষের কারও গায়ের রং কালো, কারও সাদা, কারও বাদামি। একেকজনের ভাষা একেক রকম। সামাজিক রীতি-নীতি, চাল-চলন একেকজনের একেক রকম। তবুও সব মানুষ সমান। আমরা সকলে এক পিতা-মাতার সন্তান। এই মহৎ চিন্তা মানুষের মধ্যে প্রকৃত অনুভূতি সৃষ্টি করে। এই অনুভূতি মানুষকে অন্যের অধিকার সম্পর্কে সজাগ করে তোলে। মানুষে মানুষে স্বাভাবিক যে পার্থক্য তাকেও স্বীকার করে নেওয়া হয়। আমরা দুনিয়ার সকল মানুষ এক আল্লাহর সৃষ্টি এবং একই পিতা-মাতার সন্তান- এই সত্যকে যখন স্বীকার করে নেওয়া হয় তখন একজন অন্যজনের ভাষা, গায়ের রং, অন্যের সামাজিক রীতি নীতিকে মর্যাদা দিতে শিখে। তাই কুরআন এবং হাদিসে বারবার একথাই স্মরণ করিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে—
يأيها الناس اتقوا ربكم5 الذي خلقكم من نفس واحدة
“হে মানুষেরা! তোমাদের রবকে ভয় কর যিনি তোমাদের একটি প্রাণ থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন।' সূরা আন নিসা : ১
إنما المؤمنون10 إخوة
"মুমিনরা তো পরস্পরের ভাই।' সূরা আল হুজরাত : ১০
এভাবেই ইসলাম বর্ণগত, ভাষাগত, বংশগত, জাতিগত শ্রেষ্ঠত্বের দাবিকে নির্মূল করে প্রকৃত ভ্রাতৃত্বের পথকে সুগম করে তোলে ।
অধিকার এবং মর্যাদার দিক থেকে সকল মানুষ সমান। এই নীতিমালার ওপর ইসলাম এক সুন্দর পরিবার, সুন্দর সমাজ, সুন্দর দেশ, সর্বোপরি সুন্দর পৃথিবী গড়ে তুলতে চায়।

একটি সুন্দর পরিবার গঠনের জন্য দেওয়া হয়েছে বিবাহের ব্যবস্থা। দেওয়া হয়েছে পর্দার বিধান। এক একটি সুন্দর পবিত্র বাগান হিসেবে ইসলাম সমাজের সকল পরিবারকে গড়ে তুলতে চায় ।
