This will have a huge impact on our neighborhood, safety, environment, and property value. This project has the potential to attract dozens of substance abusers and unregistered sex offenders. Especially that this “project must accept tenants regardless of sobriety, participation in services, treatments or programs, eviction history, credit history, incarceration history consistent with CoC guidance and the Welfare and Institutions Code 8255.”

Has the developer analyzed if this project might diminish our community?Under the California Environmental Quality Act or CEQA, the developer must identify all the ways a project can change an area’s landscape including physical deterioration in the neighborhood that would ultimately harm the environment.Let us know if such an analysis has been done and where we can find it.
I absolutely OPPOSE the proposal to build EIHC adjacent to ANY neighborhood and especially NOT at the intersection of Monterey and Branham. The fighting, drug use, garbage, and chaos are not only unsightly but frightening for our family. My children are unable to ride their bikes and we are unable to take walks as a family in this area due to all of the current destruction caused by the homeless in this area. There are plenty of other vacant lots or buildings available and should be utilized
I OPPOSE THE BUILDING 176 UNITS AT THE CORNER OF BRANHAM LANE AND MONTEREY ROAD. I AM A HOMEOWNER WHOSE PROPERTY IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS HOMELESS ENCAMPMENT NOW. ARE COMMUNITY IS DEALING WITH DRUG DEALERS, BREAK-IN, WATER THEFT AND DUMPING. WHO WILL ENFORCE "BAD BEHAVIOR" FOR OUR SAFETY, POLICING, HEALTH ISSUES, AND SANITARY ISSUES. CURRENTLY THE HOMELESS USES OUR COMMON AREA FOR THEIR PERSONAL TOILET LEAVING HUMAN FECES AND OTHER NASTY ITEMS. CAN YOU NOW UNDERSTAND WHY I OPPOSE THIS SITE.
I DO NOT support the proposal by the city to build a 176 unit housing at the Brahman-Monterey intersection. The lot is right in the middle of existing residential neighborhoods and very close to library, a park and an elementary school. The city’s own guidelines from last year mandated setbacks from those locations. The city must look at other venues like motels on Monterey road for additional units
Regarding the new emergency housing plan for the corner of Branham and Monterey, I would like to see some pictures if available of the building design, as well as hear about resident program plans; I don’t think it’s a good idea to just give people who have been homeless for a while a place to live without also providing counseling and life skills classes.
I DO NOT SUPPORT this proposal. There is so much more open land elsewhere to build on why are you trying to cram it into a small area and over populate our already over populated community!
I do not support this proposal on branham and Monterey rd. As a new home owner in this area we have already been dealing with so much crime and drug paraphernalia in our area and we want to keep our homes safe. It’s already hard enough trying to take my son out for Walks and have to be on defensive mode at all times. I’m tired of all this please stop trying to build here.
I do not support the proposal to build on the Branham/Monterey site. The Deer Run II community has be terrorized by the homeless encampment long enough. We have been subject to nightly, screaming, loud music, fighting, illegal toxic fires, urinating, defecation, etc. Numerous thefts, threats, public intoxication, public indecency and on and on. Homeowners are prisoners in their own homes. This site is 100 from a public library and a direct path to a nearby school.

It will diminish the hardwork of homeowners who've saved their entire lives, only to have their quality of life diminshed by the city's inconsiderate proposal. Find land away from homes to build these housing units Pressure the county to allow fairground use Purchase vacant buildings like the VA use the under utilized VTA parking lot on the southside of Capitol expwy.
