You will cost businesses millions and force many to close their doors. This is segregation pure and simple. This is a divide and conquer mentality by the political elites. If this was about health even remotely, you would ban fast food, and encourage sun and exercise, but instead you are all out of shape and out of touch with reality power grabbers. As a resident of San Jose, taxpayer, and registered voter I urge you to OPPOSE THIS VACCINE MANDATE. You serve the citizens of San Jose, you do not have the authority to force any invasive medical treatment on anyone in order for them to particulate in public events. .
My 12 year old should not be forced to get this vaccine to be able to go to the movies with her friends, or see a theatre production with her family. Her medical health decisions are between her parents and her Doctor. Nobody else. Preventing her, or anybody, from living a free life is a shameful overreach of authority. There is a reason Pfizer has to conduct 6 more full studies on myocarditis. This risk is real. Enough with the panic. We did our part and we need to move on.
There is no way to mandate vaccines particularly in light that many people have had covid and recovered therefore to require a vaccine on these people and teens is an afront to our individual rights as the government cannot be making health care decisions with broad stroke further discriminating against citizens including a higher rate of discriminatory practices towards black and brown people as well as undocumented.
I oppose this ordinance as it is a violation of the constitution as well as dangerous to the health of US citizens. Many people have already had the covid 19 virus and have natural immunity which is far better than a vaccine which has proven to be ineffective against the virus but has many life threatening side effects. These vaccine are experimental. They are authorized for emergency use only. You are not doctors and we are not your patients, therefore this ordinance should be voted down.
Why is natural immunity, usually lifelong, not counting anymore? If the vaccine immunity works, then those who get it are protected, so it does not matter what others do. But the truth is the vaccines have been a complete failure, as even CDC has admitted examples of “outbreaks” where majority sick, 70-80% or more were vaccinated... Antibody Dependent Enhancement concerns raised by many experts have proven to be true for some/many. FDA has skipped necessary testing. Risks exceed benefits.
The government should not have a say with how I support my health. Vaccine mandates are a product of Big Pharma pushing their financial agenda. The mandates are divisive, financially irresponsible and are not proof of keeping others safe. The virus can be spread whether you are vaccinated or not.

I still have friends and family residing there. 1) This takes away our constitutional rights of free assembly which can lead to emotional and psychological trauma/ damage. 2) This takes away our constitutional right of freedom of speech if we cannot gather together. 3) I still conduct business there. This will hurt the City of San Jose by taking revenue away from it by those of us, like me, who do business there. Please don’t hurt this city/ CA citizens.
