As we continue to navigate during a most difficult period for our community, it’s time for those elected to more heavily weigh individual’s personal rights to make healthcare decisions directly with one’s doctor. Please don’t overstep the authority entrusted to you by your constituents with overreaching mandates, restrictions & dictates. The additional impact on our small businesses, churches, schools and those who elect not to get vaccinated is further penalizing & unacceptable.
Your dereliction of duty is appalling. Constitutional law protects my right to refuse medical “attention”. Please consider how this will hinder if not close businesses because patrons, many with complicated medical issues, choose to not vaccinate. It’s easy for you; you have medical ins and other comforts. Not all San Jose residents have these things. You work for them! All for a vaccine that doesn’t prevent contraction or transmission? The CDC Dir has admitted efficacy is waning. What’s next?
I’m 71 years old, have had COVID, but with proper treatment at home, I recovered in 3 days. I have heard many stories about people doing fine with this virus… if treated with the proper (but as of yet un-approved) medications. I have also heard many stories of people getting this virus even though they got the Vaccine, and many other family and friends who got the vaccine, had serious side affects and in one case died from the vaccine. You may NOT force this vaccine on American citizens!
Business should not be police. This is tragic policy making and Sam should be ashamed for governing out of total fear and lack of any protection for those who can't get the vaccine for medical and religious reasons or elect not to get it. Complete discrimination. And the latest "science" shows vexed can spread just as much or more.
This is violating HIPPA law, Nuremberg code, Fourth Amendment, American Disability Act, Equality Act!!

i oppose this mandate and think it is absolutely wrong, immoral and illegal for someone to think this is a one size fits all approach! You are not going to do anything about immune compromised people who react to this? what about us? this is so one sided? especially if we have have covid and have the natural immunity which is far better that a man made one!

The pharmaceutical companies aren’t even liable if something should so happens to the person receiving the vaccine. I believe in medical and personal freedom.
