This urgency to mandate a “vaccine” is absurd. The City of San Jose has many other priorities. By no means can this be affiliated with “Ethics Resolution”, as it is the antithesis of ethical.
For one, taking a vote to this although a “democratic” approach, is also the antithesis of freedom, and undermining of individual liberties of council members and city staff. Regardless, no city has any real authority to dictate what an employee puts in their body.
This is not ok - it is illegal to force medical treatment on children especially. My body my choice and especially my choice for my minor children. This will cause more discord and not have the results that you want. The more you force someone the more they will push back. This is a massive overreach of government that is segregating people and will cause local unrest. Give people their choice.
This is too much power by the government over our individual choices. Look at the statistics and discover that it is largely the vaccinated who are hospitalized. I site New Hampshire as an example.
I stand for freedom to choose what goes into my body.
1. Vaccines do not prevent the spread of COVID
2. Vaccines do not prevent catching COVID or breakthrough infection
3. Many people are not able to get this vaccine due to medical or religious reasons
With these facts taken into consideration it is clear that THE ONLY THING A VACCINE MANDATE CAN ACCOMPLISH IS FURTHER DIVISION AMONG YOUR CONSTITUENTS.

This is ludicrous. Since when did anyone at any level of government have the power to force medical procedures, treatments or medications on its citizens? Even CDC has shown how flawed the case and death rate reporting system is, the complication that people are having out there are also not accurate. These vaccines have safety issues 😒 and people are afraid to get something that could turn an otherwise healthy person into a disabled person within a few days to a few months. This is not freedom
I oppose Federal & State mandates for personal healthcare choices. These experimental shots have not been studied for short & long term side effects. Too many deaths and serious side effects reported in VAERS. Over 13,000 reported deaths in the US.

I believe that that the Constitution intends that US citizens have freedom to choose which drugs to put in their bodies. The VAERS database says that 4,868 people have died from the Covid 19 vaccines, and 520,898 have had life-threatening adverse reactions, permanent disability, congenital anomaly, emergency room or hospital treatment. Mandating a drug that is known to kill and damage people, will setup the San Jose city and employed individuals as being liable for death and damages.
As a daughter of someone who is on their death bed because of the vaccine, I beg you not to make this a requirement. I strongly feel it is a grave mistake that may only be seen in hindsight in the years to come. Please do not subject everyone to this potential mandate.
Forced medical treatment and human testing is a violation of many world recognized laws. How anyone is considering allowing this to take place here in the "most free country in the world" is mind blowing. This should not even be a voting issue, it shouldn't even be considered as an option.
Healthy relative recently died after 2nd Pfizer shot; another has a pace maker after his shots( male nurse) and has a pacemaker now-- hes in his 30's; Nuremberg Code!
Everyone needs the freedom to choose if they want the shot or not. Worldwide there have been deaths and adverse effects from the shot. Why not treat with prophylactics and use the zinc/
zinc ionosphore approach which will stop all the variants!
The vaccine trials endpoints of all three COVID-19 vaccines were to reduce hospitalization, not analyze for transmission or prevention of infection. The delta variant is now the dominant variant in California. The CDC has made it clear that **vaccinated persons can transmit the delta variant, and even have as high viral loads**. People may not be getting this vaccine for religious reasons, because of their disability, etc. Discriminating against them is illegal and morally wrong.
There are reasons people cannot get a vaccine. To discriminate against those people would be a horrible mistake and not equitable. Could imagine having a health condition that would be a contradication for a vaccine and now being stopped from going about your daily business. This is a tyrannatical approach to a disease that has over a 99% survivabiity rate when treated. Choose medical freedom over tyranny.
