Someone said it's better than letting them park in front of a house. How do you know that? What if the park is full. They will not stay in the park 24hours. Everywhere man! This is a very very bad trend, we have to stop it. If the city keep doing this, we have to find a new home!
To the community, it posts more safety concerns. And why this always happens to east side of SJ instead of wealthier communities at west side?
To the city, it saves $5000 from $65000 that's currently spent. Where is the money spent on?
To the homeless residents, do they get anything other than being forced to move together? The city is labelling them as homeless by moving them all together. Meanwhile no one worries about their actual health care.
Having homeless camp near schools and residential areas poses great risks for kids and everyone else, along with attacking drugs and crimes to the neighborhood.
We understand that it is crucial to address homelessness but this particular community may not be the most ideal location as schools are within the vicinity. This could attract other homeless individuals from other areas to relocate here and potentially causing problems with sanitation, overpopulation, health risk…etc.
While it is important to address homelessness, this housing plan may not be the most effective solution. It could burden taxpayers, disrupt neighborhoods, and enable dependency rather than promoting self-sufficiency. Alternative approaches that focus on job training and mental health support may yield better long-term results.
I strongly oppose the construction of a homeless site near the BART, as it has the potential to attract homeless individuals from the entire Bay Area to this area. This is particularly concerning considering that some of them may be grappling with drug abuse and require significant resources for support. Such a situation could pose serious safety concerns for our community.
I strongly oppose this proposal as it places homeless RV parking in close proximity to the commercial area, Bart station, and a heavily trafficked road, posing significant security risks to the neighboring community.
