8.4 23-842 City Initiatives Roadmap: Recreational Vehicles Communities Support Parking and Emergency Interim Housing. - TO BE HEARD CONCURRENTLY WITH ITEM 8.5
RV for homeless is another homeless shelter that is huge security burden on an already notorious residence region that its people do not even dare to ship package to their front porch
We strongly oppose the proposal to build an RV Parking & Emergency Interim Housing at Berryessa Rd. As the resident of this area, I hope we could build a quite environmental friendly and peaceful community. I don’t think it’s making sense to build a RV parking on our high residential density area.
I strongly oppose the proposed change due to safety concerns for our neighborhood. We've seen a significant increase in car and house break-ins, impacting our community's security and well-being. We can't risk a repeat, especially with our children attending school nearby. Instead of introducing more safety concerns, the city should prioritize implementing measures to address existing issues and prevent further crime.
We strongly oppose the proposal to build an RV Parking & Emergency Interim Housing at Berryessa Rd. We are concern of safety issues. Please relocate the RV Shelter Parking to a less dense area of the city
We already have a homeless problem in the creek, they leave garbage everywhere, this will add to the problems. Panhandlers everywhere, we also have people coming to rummage through our garbage and recycling every night before collections. This also creates safety hazards for our children.
I strongly oppose! I’m outraged of this initiative! The location is too close to the already dense residential neighborhood as well as schools. This is not a good location for the RV parking site. Also, this neighborhood already suffers from safety issues from tiny homes and Bart station. The city should not add any more burden to this neighborhood!
I strongly oppose this plan! So many people are against this plan due to all kinds of concerns - city should listen to its people. It's illegal if the city approves this plan!
This is completely a residential area. This settlement poses a risk to safety and security of the neighborhood which we are seeing a rise to already due to Bart station. We should avoid any further changes that provides a risk to the safety of the community.
Our mayor just wants a quick fix so that he can claim there he fixed the issue on one of the campaigns he ran on for mayor! Shame on me for I voted for him, thinking he would seriously consider all sides of an issue before proposing/making a decision. Well, this decision hugely impacts the safety and welfare of the housed people in this area too! Who to say that this will not drive more homeless people to San Jose from other areas? To dump all the unhoused RVs in one area is a bad decision!

This will destroy public safety
Strongly oppose to this proposal. It will not efficiently solve homeless issue but harm our community.

I strongly oppose this due to safety issues for the next generation and potential drugs and mental issues arise in the neighborhood.
