* SEE NEW ITEM 3.4, "Vaccine Mandate" TO BE ADDED UNDER ORDERS OF THE DAY. REQUIRES A DETERMINATION BY A TWO-THIRDS (2/3) VOTE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL PRESENT AT THE MEETING, OR, IF LESS THAN TWO-THIRDS (2/3) OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL ARE PRESENT AT THE MEETING, A UNANIMOUS VOTE OF THOSE MEMBERS PRESENT THAT THERE IS A NEED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION. Consolidated Open Government and Ethics Resolution No. 77135, Section 2.3.2.1.E.3; Council's Rules of Conduct, Resolution No. 79367, Rule 3(d); Council Agenda Items' Placement After Rules During Social Distancing Period Resolution No. 79485.
I strongly suppose the vaccine mandates because I feel people should have the freedom to choose what they want in their bodies. That’s not for government to decide, it’s for the individual. I also know people who have had adverse side affects from taking the vaccine and their lives are now forever changed. Covid has a 99% recovery rate therefore it’s pointless to force this vaccine on people when majority will recover.
A vaccine mandate is a violation of our rights and freedom to choose healthcare for ourselves. We are the best judges of what we need for our bodies—the government is way overstepping their boundaries if they think that they can impose vaccine mandates on the population. My body, my choice!
I STRONGLY oppose any kind of vaccine mandates, they go against our constitution and medical rights! These "vaccines" are dangerous. They have not undergone safety tests & mrna technology is new to human use. With no long term effect studies, what corners have been cut for approval? We, the people, need a voice too. There is proof that these vaccines are even dangerous for our kids and I will not allow this vaccine to touch my family! Please don't support vaccine mandates!
It is unthinkable to force people to put something in their own body that may harm them. Even the makers of the vaccine aren't confident enough in the safety of their product to back with liability coverage.
This is unconstitutional and I strongly oppose. There are many reasons people are choosing not to get this vaccine and the government should not discriminate against those that chose not to inject this into their bodies. Your role is to protect our freedoms, not tell us what type of healthcare we should or shouldn’t receive - it’s our decision not yours.
I was harmed by my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine and am now under the care of a neurologist & on a leave of absence from my job. I know others who have had adverse effects that may last them the rest of their lives. I would be opposed to a mandate even if these things hadn’t happened, because it would be a LOSS to our freedoms as American citizens. That would be a very sad and scary thing to have happen in this country we live in.
I totally oppose to the mandatory vaccinations.
This is not a free country when something against your will has to be forced to do it, it is against the First Amendment of the USA Constitution & freedom.
My body my choice
I strongly oppose a vaccine passport. As someone who has learning disabilities I have been thankful for the protections that have been afforded to me at work and school. Vaccine passports strip away the protections for the class of people who cannot and/or choose not get the vaccine based on medical, religious and philosophical reasons. PLEASE do not allow vaccine passports in our city. Vaccine passports will only promote extreme discrimination.
Passports are based on a false premise: That vaccinated immunity is required for life to return to normal. (1) Natural immunity is at least as robust (2) Not all vaccinated become immune (3) Not all are at significant risk from COVID (esp. children) (4) Other mitigations exist (masks, testing, tracing) (5) Vaccinated spread delta so herd immunity isn’t practically achievable (6) Privileging vaccinated for an endemic disease results in discrimination Persuasion is far more effective than coercion

Please do not mandate the Covid shots.
I strongly disagree with this and believe in freedom of choice
I strongly oppose, this is unconstitutional.
I oppose the mandates. We are being lied to, it’s not an epidemic of the unvaccinated! Both vax and unvax are coming in!
My body my choice!
If neither Pfizer nor the CDC is mandating the shot for its employees, it seems to me that the higher ups don’t believe in it. So why should we?

No vaccine mandate as there is cure for Covid already, plus people should have their right for their own medical decision.
Medical tyranny and refusing people service because you think they are “dirty or sub human” is not a good look for US companies or cities.
We have successfully reached herd immunity not only with current vaccination status, but with natural immunity. Personal accountability is paramount.
I am in strong opposition. What’s taking place here is shameful. We say no.
No vaccine passport - government overreach into private lives
